Burts Bees Intense Hydration

So as a member of Bzz Agent I was selected for a Burt's Bees Intense Hydration bzz campaign. I received the Night cream, Intense hydration mask and the cream facial wash. As a disclaimer I received these products free of charge. This will not effect my opinion though.

So I began using the product when I received it on Friday night. First impressions, The wash in creamy and smells super good. Almost a herbal floral smell. Light but refreshing. It was from the Clary sage in the products. The consistency looked just like my favorite creamy cleanser, Clinique Foaming facial cleanser, but the similarities end there. this product is creamy but does not foam much. That is not to mean it doesn't clean because it does, but it feels like washing your face with cold cream. In the winter I have been known to do that exact thing, but this product washes off and leaves a film on your face that I imagine is to retain moisture. Great in theory but amazingly I feel like I need moisturizer right after I get out of the shower. Also something I do anyway just normally I don't feel such a need for it A.S.A.P. But a little note that I was impressed by. Even though I felt like I needed moisturizer my skin was not red like it normally is post wash. take from that what you may.

So I opened my night cream and it has the same wonderful smell of the wash. The moisturizer is very thick. And it FEELS thick on the skin. it does not really feel like it absorbs. There is a feeling of a wax coating on the face after application that I am not a fan of. But I went to bed and in the morning I felt fine. face looked good but by Monday I did have two pimples on my cheek. I am hormonal right now so that may be why. I will keep using to see if this is caused by the product or not.

Now Sunday I chose to use the moisture mask It was lotion like in nature and again smelled like all the other products. I followed instructions and applied a thick coating all over face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes then wipe off with cloth and rub the rest in to skin. It felt just like applying a thick layer of lotion to the skin and letting it sit would feel like. I waited for some intense hydration feeling or cooling feeling or anything really. Nothing happened. Now this may have been the cause of my pimple also but because of my hormones I will keep using to know for sure.

Now the products in this line retail for 17.99 a piece. As of right now I dont think the product warrant that price but Maby time will change my mind. Have you tried this product? tell me what you think.
